Animal Rebellion – why you should eat steak tonight

The loony left has really lost the plot. Now it’s the Animal Rebellion (AR) which is really just an activist group spin off of the Extinction Rebellion (XR) for vegans. At states,:

We believe in a world where all individuals of all species can flourish, free from exploitation and the worst threats of the climate emergency, where we work consciously to ensure no being is seen as a commodity. As such, we believe we need a political system rooted in collective decision-making made with and alongside our multispecies kin, where creativity and compassion are prioritized, and where the diversity of gifts among all species are recognized and celebrated.”

There we have it. Just like XR it is all about central control and no doubt self selected “collective decision making.” Without question the lunatics that AR and XR want to appoint to these councils don’t believe in democracy or anything other than exerting their will on others.

AR state openly it wishes to

In partnership with Extinction Rebellion, Animal Rebellion will mobilise 10,000 animal advocates for a two-week Rebellion in London, beginning October 7th...”

Then the truth really comes comes out:

Government must tell the truth by declaring a climate and ecological emergency, working with other institutions to communicate the urgency for change.” Animal Rebellion understands this demand will not be met unless telling the truth includes the government declaring that the industries of animal farming and fishing are leading contributors to climate breakdown and ecosystem collapse, and communicating the urgent need to transition to a sustainable and just plant-based food system, alongside other key issues.

Government must act now to halt biodiversity loss and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025. Animal Rebellion understands this demand will not be met unless government action includes ending the industries of animal farming and fishing and leading a transition to a sustainable and just plant-based food system, alongside other important measures.

Government must create and be led by the decisions of a Citizens’ Assembly on climate and ecological justice.Animal Rebellion understands this demand will not be met unless the Citizens Assembly has the mandate to discuss and power to legislate for the transition to a sustainable and just plant-based food system alongside other key topics.

So never mind the tens of thousands of farmers, fishers and restaurants that will be put out of business if these fools ever got their way.

The sad thing is they truly believe in this rubbish as if it is normal.

CM implores all readers to have a steak dinner tonight and tell these ARseholes that their veganism is a choice for them.

These cultural Marxists need to learn about democracy. If they want these changes then an election is the best way to achieve it.

Greta Thunberg’s Brilliant Minds speech

What troubles CM is that the soon to be Dr Thunberg (she will be given an honorary doctorate from the University of Mons in Belgium) will be abused even more by those pushing the climate change narrative. She is the perfect human shield to the divisive machine that lurks begins her. It is hard to criticize a movement when the face is a child.

She faces either nothing happening with the climate and being exposed as brainwashed. Or the policies she espouses will lead to such a miserable existence that life will be even more terrible than it is now.

This is not to criticize Thunberg per se. She is undoubtedly a very brave girl to face world leaders and celebrities with such scripted messages.

Here is the transcript of Greta Thunberg’s Brilliant Minds speech. The socialist imprints are all over the language. Especially when the 16-yo tells the audience they are simply “uninformed.” Watch out for the coming “carbon budget” which will mean you have to turn vegan, stop flying and take on your moral duty to stop spending other’s carbon credits!!

——

Around the year 2030, we will be in a position where we probably set off an irreversible chain reaction beyond human control, that will most likely lead to the end of our civilization as we know it.

That is unless, in that time, permanent and unprecedented changes in all aspects of industrialized society have taken place. Including a reduction of our CO2 emissions by at least 50%.

And please note that these calculations are depending on inventions that have not yet been invented at scale.

Furthermore, these scientific calculations do not include most unforeseen tipping points and feedback loops.

Nor do these calculations include already locked in warming hidden by toxic air pollution. Nor the aspect of equity, which is absolutely necessary to make the Paris Agreement work on a global scale.

And these calculations are not opinions or wild guesses.
These projections are backed up by scientific facts, concluded by all nations through the IPCC.

So if we are to stay below the 1,5 degrees of warming limit, which is still possible within the laws of physics, we need to change almost everything. We need to start living within the planetary boundaries. This will be a drastic change for many, but not for most.

Because most of the world’s population is already living within the planetary boundaries. It is a minority who are not.

The richest 10% of the world’s population emits about half of our emissions of greenhouse gases. The richest 1% emits more than the poorest 50%.

And this is not about glorifying poverty, this is about the laws of physics and the remaining amount of greenhouse gases that we can still emit into the atmosphere to be in line with the Paris agreement.

It is not people in countries like Mozambique, Bangladesh or Colombia who are most responsible for this crisis. It is mostly down to people like you here in the audience.

Entrepreneurs, celebrities, politicians, business leaders. People who have a lot of power.
People who consume enormous amounts of stuff. Who often fly around the world, sometimes in private jets.

Your individual carbon footprints are in some cases the equivalent of whole villages.

But the worst part I think is that you are normalizing this extreme lifestyle. Because people look up to you. You are the role models, you are setting the standards. People aspire to be like you.

About 100 companies emit approximately 71% of our total emissions of CO2. And yes I know, we need a system change rather than individual change. But you can not have one without the other.

If you look through history all the big changes in society have been started by people at the grassroots level. No system change can come without pressure from large groups of individuals.

And no, I don’t blame you. I know you are not acting like this because you are stupid. You are not ruining the biosphere and future living conditions for all species because you are evil. At least I hope not. I know that almost everyone of you are simply uninformed. Just like the rest of the world’s population.

I know that you here in the audience didn’t travel here to see a sixteen-year-old girl who says strange and uncomfortable things.

But you know what? We need to dare to be uncomfortable. We need to be brave enough to say and do things that may not increase our profit or our popularity. Because otherwise, we won’t stand a chance.

We need to start thinking outside the box. To acknowledge that we don’t have all the solutions to the climate and ecological crises yet unless those solutions mean that we simply stop doing certain things.

We need to accept that the market and new technologies will not solve everything for us. We need to admit our common failure. And then we need to act, while there’s still time

At meetings like these, you love to listen to entrepreneurs, new ideas and new inventions. But when it comes to the climate crisis the time for those magic new inventions has just about come and gone.

And even though we most certainly need to embrace every bit of new clean technology – we can no longer look away from the obvious fact that we also need to change our behaviour. Some more than others.

The theme of this year’s Brilliant Minds conference is “Fluxability Quotient”. It’s what the organizers call “a symphony of big-picture thinking”.
Well, here is some big-picture thinking for you.

If you regularly fly around the world, eat meat and dairy and are living a high carbon lifestyle then that means you have used up countless of people’s remaining carbon budgets. Carbon budgets that they will need in their everyday life, for generations to come.

And if that wasn’t enough, those whose carbon budgets we are stealing are the ones least responsible and the ones who are going to be affected the most by this crisis.

According to climate scientist Kevin Anderson, if the richest 10% of the world’s population would lower their emissions to that of the average citizen of the European Union, then the world’s emissions of CO2 would be cut by about one third.

I think we can safely say that everyone in this room belongs to that 10%. Including me.

Everyone and everything needs to change. But the bigger your platform, the bigger your responsibility. The bigger your carbon footprint, the bigger your moral duty.

To make the changes required we need role models and leaders. People like you. I am certain that most of you sitting here will have the wisdom, the courage and the common sense to take a few steps back. To see the full picture. To make the sacrifices that are necessary. And to become the leaders we need you to be.

The question is, will you do it in time?

Future generations are counting on you. Don’t let us down.

Vegan feminist cafe closes & Trip Advisor comments priceless

A vegan feminist cafe, Handsome Her, has closed its doors for good. It had imposed an 18% gender surcharge for men to account for the ‘wage gap’ and given women priority seating. Perhaps if the cafe focused on service in the normal fashion it might have flourished. Take these 1 star Trip Advisor reviews.

This from John P.

I was in Melbourne on business recently and a friend of mine recommended this cafe. What a shame I listened to her. It took 5 minutes to get the attention of a waitress who seemed to be more interested in chatting to her friends, rather than serving a customer who’d just walked through the door. I was eventually seated and chose the gnocchi paired with the suggested pinot noir. The gnocchi arrived and I was bitterly disappointed. The gnocchi was very undercooked and had a floury texture, the mushrooms were burnt and the dish lacked any real flavour. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the wine. I left most of my meal on the plate and finished my wine.

When I asked for the bill, the waitress asked if there was a problem with my meal, since I’d left most of it on my plate. When I told her of my dissatisfaction with the meal, she morphed into an aggressive and irate woman who then started dispatching some rather vile language. Not wanting to cause a scene, I subsequently left the requisite cash on the table, which included a 15% tip, and promptly walked out. As I was walking past the register on the way out, I could hear the same woman telling the other waitress working with her that I was a “vile beast” and that I “wasn’t welcome here again”.

I certainly won’t be coming back. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in quite some time.

This place is a giant turd. Nobody in their right mind should eat at such a horrid place. Your sexism and gender attacks are cancer to society. Be gone forever.

“Went there to see what the hype was all about. The conditions were dirty and unclean. The people working there looked like they hadn’t had a wash in days. The food was overpriced for what you got and the plate presentation was sloppy.”

“A terrible cafe that has no respect for either equality or the law, with horrible staff that I swear the owner had to scour the scum of the earth to find. Spend half an hour trying to get a waitress to come over and when they finally showed up they told me I’d have to wait because I was a “cis gendered white man” and there were women who needed to be served first. According to the waitress I’d have to wait until ALL women in the shop were served before they’d take my order, even those who came in after me. I left at that moment and will never return.

“What a disgrace that in 2019 in Australia we allow a restaurant to discriminate against a group of people based on something they cannot change.
I went to handsome her with 3 girls who are close friends (I’m a male) and was spoken to like a second class citizen, the attitude and demeanour of the employees is abhorrent.
The food wasn’t bad, the coffee was terrible but the attitudes are disgusting, I was spoken down and made to feel like garbage.

Myself and the ladies all agreed this is promoting discrimination and against what we believe in which is equality.
What a joke, avoid at all costs there is much better around.”

Do look up Handsome Her Cafe reviews on Trip Advisor. Sadly those that don’t pay attention to customer needs face the wrath of evil capitalism.

What better way to annoy a vegan activist than eat a steak. The Hay 2 Help community, which supports Aussie farmers, has launched a campaign to get people to eat steak tomorrow to protest against vegan terrorists. Shouldn’t be a struggle. #partakethesteak

Pets now impacted by climate change – who knew??

There is no better example of how climate change activists create more fairytales to keep the alarmism going. This article found its way into the Mosman Daily. In a suburb where there are more SUVs per square metre than any other in Sydney, what better audience to publish an article to warn owners of Fifi & Pookie there is an elevated risk of climate change!

The dog psychology units should expect to be on standby with a deluge of visits from Lucy the miniature schnauzer and her friends who have become depressed by the changed weather cycles. Canine coiffure salons will be inundated with strict instructions to make sure that organic pet shampoos with natural menthol give them the sensation of feeling cooler to prevent them being triggered.

All those Mosman mothers should cut back on skim flat whites and Lululemon leotards because of the high amount of man-made fibers made from fossil fuels. Let’s not even begin to consider the make up and Chanel No.9 de parfum derived from minke whale blubber they slap on much less the three cans of hairspray used before meeting the girls for tennis…

Shame on those teachers that pushed students to hold a climate change rally in Martin Place today. They missed a huge opportunity to give a voice to the pooches of Mosman to prove that a lower incidence of tail wagging is solely caused by climate change even though the reality is the $1,000 silk cushion from House & Home was torn to shreds when mum was sipping macchiatos and gluten free muffins on Avenue Road.

Shame on the author for not demanding that McIntosh Mercedes, Audi & BMW Mosman be forced out of their Military Road dealerships for their unconscionable corporate greed. Rich Mosman husbands are lining up to buy gas guzzling two door sports cars which gives them the right to exploit the T3 lane when they pick up their mistresses on Cowles Road.

Reading articles like this reinforce the hysterics of the climate alarmists. Should make anyone sleep more soundly at night. By the way, don’t tell anyone but seaside properties in Mauritius continue to make higher highs. The teachers have missed that tidbit too. Then again it doesn’t fit the narrative.

Even your steak is at stake with the left

In order to create change in our society, we must challenge current belief systems and force people to take a side; oppression or justice, cruelty or compassion.” – Melbourne Cow Save Animal Liberation Army (MCSALA)

35 members of the  MCSALA forced their way into the Rare Steakhouse to protest last night. What is it with the left? Even diners can’t enjoy a meal without being harassed. Maybe customers were celebrating a birthday, anniversary or wanting to enjoy a steak after a hard day at work. Parting with good money to consume is a choice.

Instead of abusing customers why not whine to the government who clearly allow such supposedly inhumane slaughtering practices? Did they protest in front of the Indonesian Embassy when videos of Indonesian abattoirs showed how cruelly live cattle were being killed? Why not raid the Halal Certification Board? Ah no, that couldn’t be done because that would clash with the left’s other ideologies. It is not the principle but the side. Only soft targets with limited repercussions will do.

CM sincerely hopes charges are pressed against the MCSALA. Normally demonstrations in public spaces require permits. The Rare Steakhouse is a private space. It has a right to refuse entry to those that ruin the ambience. It rents the space to run a business and one can be sure the manager would not have invited them on the premises. It employs staff who equally shouldn’t face interference in the workplace.

CM wishes to see the restaurant get a lot of free publicity off the back of this stunt. That customers, through their own volition, exercise choice based on offering rather than be ranted to by protein starved vegans. Surely the ultimate irony would be to see the Rare Steakhouse see a large tick up in business.

People don’t have to take sides on every issue but the flaw in the MCSALA’s statement is that the left doesn’t believe in choice. It believes in shoving its views down the throats and those that don’t tow its line must be ‘outed’. No options but control. Indeed in its statement the MCSALA says it must “force”. Tells us all we need to know.

Imagine the howls if butchers and beef farmers walked into a vegan cafe and razed hell? Sadly they’re too busy making a living.
